The main site here is the so-called Loro Jonggrang complex, generally considered to be Java’s most elegant and awe-inspiring candi, noted for its 47-metre central Siva temple. Afterwards drive to Borobudur that stands on a small hill above the Kedu Plain, 42 km to the west of Jogja. Borobudur is one of the greatest Buddhist monuments in the world, this colossal relic was built by Syailendra dynasty between 750 and 842 AD and revealed by Sir Thomas Stanford Raffles in 1814. Continue trip to Semarang at Central Java. Breakfast at hotel, than you will have free program until transfer to the airport to get flight to Pangkalan Bun, Central Kalimantan. Our guide will welcome you at Hasanuddin Airport, Makassar and start your overland trip to Sengkang, located in the centre of the former Buginese Kingdom. On the way visit Bantimurung Waterfall located in a steep limestone valley with lush vegetation, popularly known as The Butterfly Valley. Brightly coloured butterflies, indigenous to this are, are considered among the most beautiful in the world. Proceed to Sengkang and you will try to catch the beautiful view of the sunset at Lake Tempe. You will cross the lake by motorized canoe and we will visit fisherman families who do live on the floating villages. Before living for Tana Toraja visit a traditional silk weaving home industry. Drive to Tana Toraja via Palopo, an important fishing port at the Bay of Bone. As the first encounter with Toraja you will visit Nanggala - a traditional village with rice barns in front of Toraja houses of the former King of Nanggala. You will explore highlights of the region. See cliff graves at Lemo where burial chambers are cut out of the rock and several balconies are filled with tau tau - effigies of the dead. Next see the ancient cave graves at Londa, buried many members of the local nobility; Ke Kesu a traditional village famous for its wood carvings and paintings and visit hanging graves at Marante village. You will proceed to Palawa, a village where you can find big and beautiful tongkonan - traditional Toraja houses. Afterwards drive to Batutumongga situated 1,300 meters above sea level, worth for the super view over Rantepao and surrounding valleys.
